Bills Council   Tax   –   This   is   dependent   on   the   local   Council's   annual   charges   for   Band   D (but    usually    approximates    to    £1,900    -    £2,000    per    annum).        All    Council    tax    is payable   equally   between   the   tenants.      Students   are   exempt   from   paying   this   as long   as   they   lodge   a   letter   from   the   university   confirming   they   are   on   a   full   time course for the forthcoming year with the Council Tax Department. Water   –   The   Landlord   pays   this   up   to   the   amount   stated   as   “average   usage”   for   the number   of   people   in   a   house,   according   to   Thames   Water   on-line.   Any   use   over   this amount is to be paid by the tenants. Gas/Electricity   with   EON   –   Tenants   are   responsible   for   paying   all   of   this   for   the   term of   their   tenancy.   This   account   must   be   taken   over   by   all   named   tenants   on   the   day the   tenancy   begins,   in   each   tenants   name   and   everyone   is   equally   liable   for   the charges incurred. Broadband    –    The    contract    is    presently    with    Virgin    Media    and    the    tenants    are responsible   for   paying   the   landlord   for   this   service.   This   is   normally   approximately £12 per tenant per month; Virgin Media’s charges will vary each year.
